We’ll be doing something similar this fall though maybe not as drastic and we won’t be going to a remote cabin, we’ll just do it here in our home as we go about life and learn that there is more to being a family than having a box entertain us.

Ah, sounds nice. My computer didn’t work for two days this week, and even though I thought I’d surely lose my mind (and yes, that the world around me might stop spinning)…I made it through just fine…and got SO MUCH other stuff done! A break every now and then sounds good! Hope your week at camp is a great one!

I unplugged from the computer for the month of June and almost all of July…it was wonderful! And imagine…the blog world was still here when I got back!

Yes, we just went on an Alaskan cruise and didn’t use our cell phones since we weren’t exactly sure what the coverage was like. Also no internet b/c we didn’t want to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get it. It was nice. I liked not having to carry my cell around and check it when I was away to see if anybody called. Ours wasn’t quite as relaxing as yours sounded b/c of the ages of our kids, but definitely a nice break from the everyday world. Thanks for sharing. Hope you’re having fun at camp.

i regularly take days off from the computer and the t.v. and i am always happy when i do but my sweetie is always so plugged in! i really wish i could convince him to take a techy break – i would love the face to face time instead of the profile view i usually get.

A complete break from technology is the most relaxing break in the world. I can’t imagine living without technology, but it’s amazing how much of our time it consumes. Have fun at camp!

i had to comment on your regis & kelly addiction. hubby went to see billy joel in NYC (that’s where we live) and who does he sit in FRONT of?? kelly. he sent me a text and i told him to tell her hi from me … he leaned back to show her the text and she texted me back on his phone. so funny! of course, i’m in maine picking up dog poo at our lake house. haha but we have interent access. i’m not as brave as you are!! plus i’m taking a photography class online. had to have access. be well.
