Organizing your closet with cubbies…..

in Closet Storage,Entrance

When I was visiting my sister I gave her an early birthday gift.

Nothing says happy birthday better than brand new shelves to organize your front closet! Isn’t that something you’ve always wanted for your birthday? lol

I LOVE these cubbies and shoe stackers!! Look at how much room they create. I even have one in my own front closet if you remember. To do my sister’s closet I purchased two of the 3 shelf cubbie organizers and 2 of the shoe rack organizers. Walmart had the best prices and I was able to get all four for $55.00. The baskets we got from the dollar store although Closetmaid (who makes these shelves) has the most awesome fabric drawers to go with these cubbies that are just perfect. Unfortunately they are also really expensive at $7.00 each so we settled for the $1.00 baskets instead. I think my sister was most excited to finally have somewhere for her purse and a I’m outta here shelf! There is even a basket for ball caps and winter hats and mitts.

I loved how this looked so much that I thought we should just leave the door open so we could sit and stare at it lovingly for hours on end. Except they didn’t think that was such a great idea which is so totally weird but whatever!

I would rather have that front closet system than any diamond for my birthday! Girl, you are an AR-TIST. Just found your site, and I already was inspired to put my makeup in a little vintage wood divided tray. Thanks for the mad inspo.! JenK

Ha, I also love to leave my closet doors open to see how everything looks all organized and perfect. My family doesn’t get it.

I need to re-do my front hall closet…with 5 of us, there is just not enough room for the shoes! I might have to give those stackers another shot….used them years ago, but then got rid of them for some reason. *smacks self in head*

hahaha
enjoy for hours on end.. sounds like me right now.. I am nesting up a storm and trying to get closets organized for 2 little girls before school starts, for a toddler boy to get things he needs while I am nursing and to find newborn things super fast… lol!!!

great closet!!
I am in the midst of reorganizing our front closet… I got the kids’ movies in baskets (.75 for 2 at Wallyworld) according to Nickelodian, Princess, Disney and Pooh…) I have to get the bottom part organized better… It’s still a jumbled mess… shoes, giant floor puzzle in a bag, golf stuff, slippers for those who kick off shoes when they come over….)

Hi, I found you through “our story”. I too have a Sister that is quite compulsive and comes in a whirlwind and does such an awesome job of helping me organize. And let me tell you, I know how much your sister much appreciates you, and even if her husband doesn’t admit it, he does too. Thanks for the great tips, I love menu monday too!
