Right now my room is the store-all for anything that doesn't have a home ... lots of paper clutter, too. It is also the hang out for our ps2 players. I want the stored clutter and the ps2 out of my room!

I love your room!

Quick tip for ya

I thought I would share something I do weekly with our master bedroom. I made Fridays my cleaning day for my bedroom. That way it is completely spotless and ready for a "weekend romance" I wash the linens, dust the nightstands, clean the mirrors, vacuum the carpet, clean out any lingering debris, and last but not least! I light a candle or two and freshen the room up.

I don't mess with "sprucing" it up again until the following Friday, but doing it on Fridays just makes me look forward to my weekends!

I like to spritz my pillows with a lavendar linen spray either each day or every other day. It makes me feel so good when I lay my head on the pillows each night. Your bedroom looks so neat and cozy!

Um, closing the door :-) No kids. My soft cushy bed. With working blinds (which I dn't have right now!) And getting rid of the rest of the clutter. I made a great start last week!

I love this idea of making your sleeping room a retreat! What a great thought.

I was also wondering if you could maybe someday think about a gift wrapping organization type post thingy. I know. Technical. You're just kinda the go-to-gal...

I've been working on our bedroom for awhile. What helped at first was the rule of NOTHING on tthe bed and the bed has to be made. It was such an improvement - at the time we still collected everything in there but my bed was clean. DH took the longest to train to not throw his uniform on the bed. For Christmas I found him a suit valet and it has worked wonders. Now it looks nice and tidy and as a bonus he has a place for his stuff.

Now I've progressed to the clutter issue - it is pretty much under control. This weekend I will remove whats left and take everything off the walls. This will leave it open for next month when I can finally go out and get my bedding. One that took me over a year to find. I can't wait!

I am fairly organized and I have no clutter but I don't have anything that really "Makes the room a retreat".

I think I would add nice warm touches to the space (wall hanging, fresh flowers..etc).

Great post!!
