Okay so I’ve been meaning to tell you about the prize basket that has been kindly donated by Lifeorganizers.com to the Monthly Round-Up for April/May. This prize package valued at $130.00 is loaded with all sorts of goodies to get the cables and wires in your home under control. We all know how difficult it can be to contain, not to mention make sense of, the hideous cable mess that electronics leave behind. The products in this basket will definitely help, some of these little do-dads I didn’t even know existed.
Here is a list of what that lucky winner will receive (you can click on the titles for more info):
Home Theater Wire Management Kit ~ includes everything necessary to organize and sharpen up the look of your home theater system (that ought to perk up some hubbie’s and get them interested in throwing out their t-shirts from 1989!)
Cat Cable Clips ~ organize your desktop computer cables with style, these are so cute
Cable Caddy ~ keeps cables from sliding behind the desk
Power Sentry PowerSquid ~ easily multiplies one grounded power outlet into five grounded power adapter-ready outlets
Pelican Micro Case Series ~ protect your cell phones, PDA’s, pagers and other personal gadgets. These cases are crushproof (up to 5,000 lbs) and watertight
Adhesive Backed Cord Clips ~ hold a single cord or cable firmly in any desired route
Power Station Cable Organizer ~ charges three devices at once, hides cord clutter (I actually blogged about this product back in June here)
Cord-It Cord Manager ~ quickly winds cords to exactly the length you need, and keeps the extra neatly hidden away
Cable Management Kit ~ holds, guides, protects wires up to 300 volts, kit includes 3 channels, 2 flat elbows, 1 inside elbow, 1 outside elbow, 1 T-fitting and 2 couplings
USB 5 in 1 QuickConnect Cable ~ connect various USB devices without purchasing multiple cables, provides five different USB connector configurations in one package
Lifeorganizers.com was a major sponsor for the 30 Day Organizational Challenge so I’m thrilled that they’ve decided to come on board for the Monthly Round-Up as well.
At the end of May I will draw one random winner from all the entrants that participated in the Monthly Round-up in either April (master bedroom) and/or May (kid’s bedrooms). So if you want to be entered into this giveaway, get organizing! The Mr. Linky’s will go up on the last day of each respective month. Further details for the Monthly Round-Up can be found here.
Now it’s time to bust a move!

My husband and I have a little *ahem* disagreement about cables and wires. He says they’re supposed to look like a rat’s nest. I say something can be done. Please help prove me right! 🙂

I would SO love to get the stuff in this giveaway!! I’m working on getting completely de-cluttered…I just HATE having too much stuff to be able to put it all away!! However, my husband is a computer guy and we just have WAY too many cables running everywhere…and now that we have a kitten, we really NEED to get them contained and under control before she chews thru something!!

Well, my husband – with his electrical certification – says the cables and wires are not a fire hazard like everyone else thinks they are, but I say they are an eyesore! This is a great prize package. Good thing I’m working on it.

I want to begin organizing. just found you through Cowboys wife and this is exciting. Moved two years ago from a 6 bedroom to a one bedroom home and my attic is full and so is my little house. Am always trying to reform…

Wow that’s a lot of stuff. A very simple way to manage cables and prevent tangling it to use zip ties. In order to charge multipl devices of us one thing you can buy a solar charger. A great way to handle different sized memory cards is to buy a five in one card reader. In order to keep track of what charger goes with what device and what cord etc etc I used zip lock bags and write the device on the bag and keep all the paraphenalia in it so I don’t get cords confused.

Hello Laura, what a great! Like most people I do have a rat’s nest too. Making matters worse I have RA which limits my movements so i spend a lot of time with my computer. With this I could have my husband get all my cables organized properly. What a great sponsor to donate this prize. The lucky winner will be very happy. Thanks for the great ideas.

You can never be too organized when it comes to wires and cabling. That is why I always use cable ties on just about every wiring situation. The best cable ties are industrial strength plastic and are American made. The ones that come from China and parts east can be really cheesy. I get mine at Cabletiesplus.com.
