Definately the creat a command center(which we did beside the front door) and use containers to establish boundaries and limits. I have baskets on the little hutch we use as a command center, on the dining room hutch, in the kids rooms, laundry room etc.

I have been giving myself permission to get rid of anything that doesn't give me pleasure or that we don't use. What a difference that makes!

I think the next biggest helper would be to have a weekly cleaning schedule. I believe I will try that starting this week.
Thanks for the tips.

This is my first day viewing your site and I love it already! My two favorites are:

Plan weekly menus and stick to a set grocery day. (It has saved me lots of $$ and time!)

Do a 10 minute tidy each night before bed. (We definitely need to make this a regular routine before my kids head up to bed so my husband and I aren't cleaning up all their toys after they are sleeping!)

I just recently found your web site. I love it! My 2 favorites are what you called a walk about, we call it Pick Up Race. My kids respond well to challenge.
The other is the container idea. I am trying to incorporate this one. I have a Mystery of History Co-op and Keepers of the Home girls group that meet in my home. I never have enough storage for all the supplies needed. Containers are expensive so this contest was very appealing. Thank you!
