Wow would you look at that, here we are at the end of March already. This month seems to have gone by so fast and gotten away on me. I can’t wait to hear how you did with your dining rooms. Were you able to tackle the clutter and find alternate locations for some of the stuff that accumulates on the table? I have no idea how many people are participating this month but hopefully we’ll get a few entrants. It’s always inspiring to see before and after pictures of what others have accomplished. Remember it doesn’t matter how big or small the improvement, any improvement that makes life easier for you and your family is good news!
So if you organized any part of your dining room recently please blog your before and after pictures and link up to Mr. Linky below. Please link up directly to your individual Round-Up post and NOT to your home page. You can do this in Blogger by: right clicking on the time at the bottom of the post you want to link to, click “copy shortcut” and then paste it into the Mr. Linky.
You’ll have until 11:59 pm Monday night (March 31st) to link up and then Tuesday I will randomly choose someone from all those who participated in February and/or March to receive a prize (it’s okay if you didn’t participate in both). The winner will receive an autographed copy of the book “How to Get Organized Without Resorting to Arson” by Liz Franklin. Such a great title for a book! Liz books provides a step by step guide to clearing your desk (or dining room table) without panic or the use of open flame.
April is Master Bedroom month so let’s roll up our sleeves, put on a pretty apron (trust me it makes a big difference!) and get busy.

I wasn’t sure if the Kitchen folks were eligible for this so I thought I’d put it up here just in case….
If not, just ignore me! : )
Laura says
Hi Thea, yes you are eligible if you did your kitchen last month but no you don’t need to re-enter your kitchen post. Thanks!

My dining room is my only clean room in the house? Why? Because the kids aren’t allowed in there. I have gates up so they can’t get in there. At the beginning of the month I did a post on my blog with photos of my clean room. I put it in your linky. My intention this month was to do my hall way closet but never got to it. However, when I mentioned this to my mom this past week when she babysat and I worked. She actually took my closet apart and rearranged everything. I don’t think I had a photo of before but will take a photo of it now and post it on my blog when I get a chance.

I think I need to continue the dining room in April, if I can get the bedroom done early (and I think I can). Several things I just didn’t get to this month. But a start is better than nothing! 😉

Just found your site a couple of days ago and am looking forward to the Master Bedroom challenge! I plan to participate just to get it decluttered but also because I’m moving in a couple of months and hopefully this will make it a more organized packing process!

I was so happy to do this challenge! I’ve rearranged and rearranged my dining room shelf and it just never WORKED! I got rid of what wasn’t working and brought in something new that has been working for us for three weeks now! Thanks for the inspiration and motivation to DO SOMETHING!!! 🙂

I’m so looking forward to April’s challenge. My master bedroom is small and cluttered (especially the closest).
🙂
Thanks for motivating us. A room a month has been great. Are you going to have us do the yard in the summer?
You are the best!

This was my first organizing “adventure”, and I’m so glad to do it! I have a bad habit of always wishing I had some extra piece of furniture to “fix” my room dilemmas, when all I need is to learn to manage the stuff I have!

I posted the after video for the kitchen/dining room together. Believe it or not, it stayed organized for the whole month of March!! Now on to the master bedroom!! Jena

Well, I haven’t really reorganized my dining room, but if you check out my blog today you will see that I have been really busy organizing the whole house! (That’s why there is no Menu Plan today. Too much going on getting ready for a garage sale. We’ll eat on the fly, I guess!)

OKay I am in for the master bedroom. For me the dining room area is all clean no problems there.

I am excited to participate in April. I was going to organized my daughter’s room first and then mine, but then I noticed that the master bedroom is in April and kid’s room is in May, so I am just switching them around. I love that you are doing this round-up every month. It is going to really help people get organized. Thanks.

You know, I had stopped using my Google Reader for the last couple weeks and I just realized that I haven’t been getting your feed!! (Probably still has the old one.) 😉 And since I had started using it again I hadn’t been going directly to sites as much – which means I’ve missed a lot of your posts — I have a lot to catch up on!!
Amber (Proverbs31) says
I must have deleted a few words some how.. that was supposed to say that I had stopped using it but started using it again for the last couple weeks. There. Now that makes sense.

Laura –
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your site and was so excited to participate in this months Organizing Round-up. Unfortunately, I think I missed the deadline, so don’t feel you have to include me in the decision on who wins. Just wanted to share what you’ve inspired. Oh, and BTW, I’m most definitely in for April. My master bedroom just stays a mess. Probably because it’s the only room in the house that no one has to see when they come to visit!

I was so sick the entire month of March, I couldn’t muster the strength to tackle the dining room (which isn’t bad at all, it’s just a hot spot for “drop offs”). But — when I saw the topic to tackle for April… well… I about choked. My room is the LAST to get cleaned and it.is.a.mess. It’s disgraceful! Maybe I’ll be sick the whole month of April, too?!
