I&#039;m sure your talk went fine! You have some great information to share, and you&#039;re passionate about it, and people sense that.

I speak a lot--probably about 70 times a year, to fairly large groups. What I will tell you (even though you didn&#039;t ask :) ) is that the more I do it, the more I realize you have to keep it really simple.

Think about it this way: what is the ONE thing you want them to take away? And what are TWO things you want them to do? Make sure you reinforce that ONE head/heart change and the TWO action changes throughout the talk, and it&#039;s more likely they&#039;ll actually change.

A lot of times speakers have great information, but they don&#039;t clearly lead people where they want them to go. If you clearly lead people to do areas of change, and keep those areas down to one or two, it&#039;s more likely they&#039;ll do them.

Oh, and give them three minutes at the end of the talk for silence and writing stuff down. Again, more likely they&#039;ll actually change.

Just my two cents :).
