A lot of times speakers have great information, but they don't clearly lead people where they want them to go. If you clearly lead people to do areas of change, and keep those areas down to one or two, it's more likely they'll do them. Oh, and give them three minutes at the end of the talk for silence and writing stuff down. Again, more likely they'll actually change.
