Linktastic ~ The Kitchen Edition

I’ve been a very busy girl painting my dressing room and making it all pretty. It only sat with half ripped off wallpaper for over a year so I figured it was about time to get my butt in gear.

Are any of you procrastinating with your kitchens? I know it’s easy to do but it sure does feel great when something you’ve been wanting to do gets done! Out of all the rooms in the house I really enjoy organizing kitchens. I think it’s because there are so many definite zones and boundaries to be created and it just makes me so happy to get lost in it all. I’ll post more on my own kitchen later in the week.

In the meantime I’ve compiled some links to help you get lost in your own kitchen projects.

Enjoy!

That makes me feel so good that your ripped wallpaper room sat for over a year. I recently painted our second bedroom after it was in that state for over a year as well. I didn’t think anyone else could possibly go that long without having accomplished such a task.

As an encouragement, that bedroom is finished and feels relaxing when I go in there. You will eventually get it done! ~smile~

Great links, thanks for posting them! I got an error when I clicked on the Kitchen Cabinet Organizing Tools link. :(

It seems I always have clutter on my counters, i’ll definitely be putting some of the ideas in the first video to use!

OH- my kitchen is the worst! I hate my kitchen. I don’t have much storage space and it needs some updating. My kitchen is an everyday struggle for me. Thanks for the tips though – hopefully I can put some to goood use.

I wish I had a real pantry for all the food items. I really need to reorganize my cupboards so that it makes sense.

My pantry & top cabinets are done (and labeled!). I need to address the bottom cabinets…maybe this weekend. I only have 3 (one’s a lazy susan, though).

I love your blog. I’ve bookmarked it and have every intention coming back to delve into previous posts. A procrastinator by nature, I have a hard job getting and staying organized.

I’m smack dab in the middle of doing my parents kitchen (and their whole house).

I hope to post pictures of before and after when it’s all done.

I’m EXHAUSTED but it sure feels great to purge and get rid!

Thank you for all the great links. I just organized my kitchen last month so I thought I was done in there, but now I realize I could do some parts of it better. I guess with organizing you really never are done because you will always keep finding better ways to do things.

You know, that’s probably why my kitchen is my favorite room in my house – it’s so compartmentalized. However, mine is in need of some serious attention. Funny you would post this just when it’s bothering me that I need to go through every single cupboard and drawer and toss things out and reorganize. And CLEAN! Ugh.

So you inspired me to work on my pantry (which is in my garage). Even though it looked organized (pretty white baskets) it was not functional! I found a great new product that now makes it look good and it’s functional – no more bulging cans for me – check out my before and after pictures.

Well, I have taken my “before” pictures. That is a bit of progress anyway. I just got my order of Tupperware containers and organized a few cupboards, but my baking cupboards were my original goal, so that organizing doesn exactly count. I am off to the dollar store for baskets tomorrow!
