Menu Plan Monday – Sept 17th

in Menu Plan Monday

Hey Gals! It was so nice to see Mr. Smiley Guy making his rounds last week! I’ve got to tell you that it makes me so very happy reading the comments from ladies who are new to menu planning share how much they are loving it and how much it is making a difference for them! I’m sure many people who are considering menu planning, but haven’t yet tried it for themselves, will find all of your comments very encouraging!

I tried a bunch of new recipes last week and the recipe winner of the week was the Chicken Berry Spinach Salad. Yummy and light and easy! This one will definitately become a staple in our house.

So here we go for this week:

Monday: Fajitas

Tuesday: Pork Chops & Perogiesthanks to Susanne for the link

Wednesday: Vegetable Spaghetti Baketrying to use up an abundance of zucchini!

Thursday: Leftover buffet

Friday: Spinach Feta Pizza

WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU?

Spinach Feta Pizza sounds delightful. I even have Feta Cheese in the fridge.

Too bad you don’t live closer, I would offer to take some of that zucchini off your hands :) !!

You wouldn’t believe how big my zucchini is either. My in-laws are the gardeners extraordinaire! I can’t keep up with them so if you’ve got any tried and true recipes please email me!

I *love* spinach!

Great menu. I’m cooking fish every day this week! Hubby has ‘contacts’ and the fish is free…..

I love spinach, esp when I’m PMS (I know I’m PMS because I start craving spinach – isn’t that weird?).

So that spinach and feta pizza sounds delicious. I actually hide the spinach under the cheese and on top :)

Yummm your menu sounds delish. I have to agree with the others… this menu plan idea was the best. It really saves us money and makes my hubby feel special cause he gets to help plan the meals. :) Thanks bunches!

I’ve made a menu for this week but since my kitchen is still under construction I can’t really make anything yet. That’s really annoying! But as soon as I do get my kitchen back I have the menu done and only need to do the shopping, no planning. That’s a good thing.

BTW, why isn’t it possible to make backlinks to your posts? I wanted to link to your entry on backpack stations but it doesn’t work. :-( Did you do that on purpose or is there a bug?

We love pirogies so I will have to check that recipe out. And spinach feta pizza sounds like something I would love.

Have a great week!

Laura,

This is my third week doing MPM and I love it. I also post my menu on the fridge and now the kids know what to expect for dinner each night. This has definitely made our lives easier.

Thank you!

Participating in MPM is helpful when friends pester me for dinner ideas, I can send them here or link them to past weeks. This way there are tons of realistic ideas at our fingertips.

I’ve planned my menus for well over 30 years despite not being “brought up” that way. I remember seeing a menu plan on someone’s fridge and thinking, “I want to do that when I have my own kitchen.’ And so I have! I would be lost without a menu plan. It is definitely the best way to make use of seasonal foods and what’s on sale.

Thanks for hosting this, Laura. You are providing a valuable help to so many families!

God bless,
Mrs.T

This is my second week officially here at MPM. Last week went well, managed to follow the recipe every day even though my husband kept suggesting we ditch the menu and order pizza. *rolls eyes*

Having MPM on my blog kind of forces me to follow the menu because I wouldn’t want to let down my readers… haha… but really, because it commits me to the plan and sometimes that’s what I need for motivation. Now if only the rest of my life were that organized…. ;)

Hey Laura! Your menu looks great for the week. I haven’t fallen completely off the meal planning wagon; I just haven’t posted forever. I have a minimal one planned this week, but hopefully I will do one with you next week.

You’ll have to start watching in the next several weeks for some major organizing around my house. If you don’t have anything else to do, head on down to Tennessee and help me!
