A new cabinet for the crafts….yeah!!!!

Well I didn’t have to wait long in my quest to find a new solution for organizing my crafts and games. If you didn’t get a chance to read the first part of this story you can read it here.

Early last Saturday morning my middle son and I went out garage saling in the rain and found the perfect affordable solution to solve my dilemma. Check out my $20.00 bargain:

I believe it is suppose to be a dresser but for me it is the new home for our craft supplies. I am so happy it has doors on it! I might even get creative and paint it one day!

I love how well the shoe boxes fit in too. The top drawer will house my daughter’s scrapbooking supplies and the bottom drawer holds all the extra school supplies. We are now using the old craft cupboard entirely for games and puzzles. I’ve consolidated all the games into this one cupboard and I’m so happy knowing they are all living together having a great time.

I didn’t think I was going to get to do this before leaving for holidays so imagine how excited I was to get it done and set up before leaving. Such a great feeling and the best part…..

coming home to the now empty cupboard in my study (where some of the games used to be)!

Oh the possibilities!!

Oh, I’m so impressed! Oh, o.k., I’m so jealous, too! Really must find a way to house all our games in one central locale as well. They drive me crazy!

Great find, Laura. I need to go through my games cupboard and purge. Same with my puzzle cupboard. But unlike you, I will not get it done before I go away. I’ll be lucky if I get packed. ;v)

    Hi Laura
I thought of a really great org tip ..where should i post it?…here is ok?.. I find it hard to sort washing after I bring it in because its time consuming…so what I have started doing..is when I hang it on the line to dry I hang it like with like, so my daughters clothes go together, my clothes get hung up together ,my sons clothes together, my linen together and so when I take it inside it is already 90% sorted..do you like my tip?
    love Sonja

That is a great find and a wonderful price. We are having the “longest” yard sale in the world this week around here, so I am going to see what finds I can find for all of my stuff! Blessings!

Score!! There’s so much to be said for being able to close the doors on stuff, isn’t there? ;-)

And now you get all the fun of thinking about all the fab ways you could re-finish the piece: that’s a good pile of utility + entertainment for just 20 bucks!

    That is awesome!

I have just realized that my new job is right next to a store where I can get a variety of plastic baskets and containers for $1-$2 each and some for 3 for $1! I am so excited to be able to have a inexspensive place to fill my organization container fetish!

However, I still have to share room with a few miscellaneous kitchen items on the bottom, like a #10 can, some tea pots, and a cotton candy maker!!!
