Thirteen things hanging over my head that need to get done but not in any particular order:
- List a whole pile of things on ebay
- Drop off a tote of clothes to consignment
- Finish printing off my pictures
- Finish compiling my recipe list into a spreadsheet
- Figure out what to do for teacher gifts this year (any ideas?)
- Iron some clothes
- Figure out which site to use to download some tunes for my Mp3 player (I’m so not hip)
- Make ice cream for my son
- Finish stripping the wallpaper in my dressing room and paint
- Make this recipe!
- Update the journals I keep for each of the kids
- Get caught up in Bloglines (yikes, I’m so far behind!)
- Organize a birthday party……for ME!

Teacher Gifts = I have a family member who is a teacher and two of the gifts she received this year that she really enjoyed was a gift card and a cedar bird feeder.
I would agree with Amy. The best teacher gifts are things that are usable (as opposed to knick-knacks). I like to go yard-saling and unfortunately a lot of those cutsie~putsie teacher gifts end up on the chopping block. So, a pretty dish full of wrapped chocolates, a gift card to bookstore or restaurant, a potted plant/flower would be my suggestions.
Great list, but it doesn’t even compare to mine. Because mine is twice the size! ha ha.
I love the last one.
I thought I’d do the same for when I turn *50*, but that is still a few years away.
Great post, Laura!

OOO, when’s the birthday?
If it’s a male teacher, we found a small bottle of speciality bbq sauce and basting brush was a nice idea, or bbq spice rubs.
A gift certificate to a book store is also really nice.
Teacher gifts: a gift certificate and a nice, handwritten card. My boys are only preschoolers, so I wrote the card for them, but in their words. I also added what I most appreciated about her teaching this year. That and a starbucks card…not creative, but I know it will be used and appreciated!
Oh, and I love your blog, but I can’t find the RSS feed. Where is it? I keep forgetting to read, and then have to play catch up!!
For an easy site to download MP3s from, try iTunes. It is a program that you have to download, but it’s free. You’ll find it on the Apple website. They make it for Microsoft as well. I love it since it’s user friendly, and you only pay for what you want to download. There are no monthly fees. :)
Great TT! Maybe I can get back to TT when things die down around here. I laughed at #7. I don’t even own an MP3 player. That’s how un-hip I am. So when will you be celebrating your 25th birthday? :)
The RSS feed is way down on the right hand side under Misc. Maybe I should move it up.
Susanne/Janeen my birthday is on the 24th of June. I love celebrating birthdays!
Sounds like a fun list! =) Here’s to hoping that you get a few things marked off during this week and next!
I think you should make the ice cream for your son, my chicken spinach pasta dish and then throw the rest of the list away. LOL
Birthday? When’s your birthday!
I always give GC for teachers and they love them!
And did you see the coconut cake she made??? OH. MY. WORD!!
Happy Birthday!!

WHEW… you are one busy lady. So I’m wondering… did you get it all done?? You amazing thing you…
I have a journal for each of the kids too. Updating them seems to always be on my list. I just bought one for the baby and haven’t even put in an entry yet!
I have a birthday coming up this month, too, and my aunt shares yours on the 24th! So Happy Birthday to us all!
I would love to know if you have a routine or method for listing on EBay. I want to sell some things on there this summer, and I know how it basically works, but would love to get organized before I jump in.
