My friend Katherine has turned the lightbulb on for me and she will be happy to know that I’ve checked the box!! You must go read THIS post now all about checking the box in your profile in order to have your email address appear in the reply to area of the email comment notifications.
Really I can’t believe I didn’t figure this out sooner! You see all this time whenever I check my email I always get so excited when I see comment notifications with the commentor’s email address included. I really really love this because it is so quick and easy to hit reply and say hello. For the life of me though I couldn’t figure out why only some commentor email addresses showed up and why others said “noreply-comment(at)blogger.com.” It has been bothering me forever and now they mystery has been solved. Yeah Katherine!
When I checked my own profile…guess what? I didn’t have the little box checked off and for no apparent reason except I didn’t know what that little box did or meant. It certainly wasn’t because I was worried about giving out my email address because when I started blogging I set up a completely new hotmail address specifically for blogging purposes. I can only imagine all the emails I’ve missed out on receiving….possibly 100’s…okay maybe only 2 but 100’s sounded good didn’t it! As I’m sure you can relate, my computer time is so limited and I feel so badly when I can’t get around to each of your blogs. I’m not promising that I’ll reply everytime but it would be nice to, you know, have the option.
So now it’s my turn to ask you….will you CHECK THE BOX?? Please

Amen, Sista! LOL! I checked it back in Feb. when you first posted this. I sure wish others would do the same. It makes life so much easier. :o)

There, I did it. (: Since I have my own blog elsewhere, I just made a Blogger account so I’d have a profile, and haven’t explored all the preference options. But now you’ll get a reply email with this comment and you can answer my question about freezer containers. yay!

I could’ve written this post about 3 months ago when I figured it out via a fellow blogger too. It makes everything so much easier and fun! Yea! Check the box everyone!

not only is it easy to miss - it is HARD to find exactly where??? I have been looking and looking and have no idea where!
I went to the settings and clicked on each tab looking - and no where do I see what you have shown in the photo that says “show my real name” or “show my email address”
