Works for Me Wednesday – Slow Cooker Cookbook

This week as I was perusing Menu Plan Monday menus I was tipped off by Taking the Challenge that there was a new annual 2007 Taste of Home Slow Cooker soft cover cookbook out similar to the Slow Cooker Classics one I’m always raving about! I love using my crockpot so you can only imagine how excited I got when I read this and I immediately headed out to try and find it and I did! Oh yes I definitely did my happy dance! Would you look at this:

Many of these recipes I’ve tried in the past because I buy their monthly magazine Simple and Delicious but it is so nice to have all the recipes in ONE place. It sells for $12.99 Cdn or $9.99 US and soooo worth every penny. The recipes use everyday ingredients and are so quick and easy which totally WORKS FOR ME!!!

You’ll find many more tips over at Shannon’s at Rocks in My Dryer!

Note: I have no affliation whatsoever with this company just a very very happy customer!

Thanks for the big smile on my face right this minute…not just because you were kind enough to mention my blog…but because you wasted no time in getting the new cookbook…I can soooo relate! I already made the Creamy Swiss steak and it was so good…finally, a swiss steak recipe like mom’s!
I hope to try the Chicken Saltimbocca later this week…didn’t make the Creamy Italian chicken as planned today, though…with the continued rain, we had crockpot chili :)
Enjoy the cookbook!

I picked this up yesterday! I have looked through the recipes, and a whole lot of them are familiar, but it is also chock full of new to me recipes. I am so glad I picked it up!

Laura,
This looks like a MUST HAVE for my cookbook rack. I drag my crockpot out at least once a week. I need some new material!

The only thing I ever enjoyed eating from our few crockpot experiments was a stuffing from one of the “Taste Of Home” family. ;0) This might be a good thing to try. Perhaps I should purchase one copy from the stand . . . do you think it would reform me? ;0)

Can you tell me where you purchased your 2007 Taste of Home slow cooker magazine. I have been looking for the book for months and was outbid on ebay while I was taking my sister for a chemo treatment. She has wanted this book for a long time but I can’t seem to find one. I thought the magazine would suffice. Thanks, Cindy
