WFMW - Pizza box storage!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
I’m not sure if this is something all scrapbooker’s use or not but just in case you haven’t heard of this I thought I’d share it.

About a month ago I decided I’d had enough of scrapbooking and packed up all my scrapbooking supplies. The question was what to do with all my 12 x 12 sheets of paper. I didn’t want to get rid of it only because I still have to finish off the baby’s first year album and of course the kids will use it for their crafts. Did you know a large pizza box will fit these papers perfectly? How cool is that!! So off I went to my local pizzeria and asked to purchase some large pizza boxes and the lady was kind enough to give them to me for free!! So now I have my papers tucked neatly away in my storage room and I don’t have to worry about them getting bent or torn and of course they stack beautifully!

Cheap storage solutions definitely Work for Me!!!!

    That is a great idea!

I’m going to do that for my gift wrap - I have a box but it is too small and I think this will be perfect.

    Have a great Valentine’s Day.

When I taught kindergarten we used pizza boxes to store the kids work which is often oversized or lumpy. We called them the Pizza Portfolios.

Joe Corbis sells pizza kits for fundraisers and their boxes are the best. I cover one for each child each year with contact paper, add a label, and use it to store their favorite keepsake works from school that year.

    Great idea!

You are so very smart! I would have never, ever thought of that. I will have to dash down to our little pizza shop to see if I can get some from them. You are really resourceful, Laura.

    Happy Valentines Day!

Lynn ~ I have a storage room in my basement so that is just where I have mine stored for the time being. That could always change tomorrow though…lol!

I’ve been organizing my craft closet lately and this idea will help. I may even try to see if pizza boxes will work for storing felt.

Pizza boxes are great for all kinds of storage! I use them for kids puzzles, games that the original boxes are broken for.

One of our local scrapbook stores fills large pizza boxes with a variety of papers, embellishments, ribbon, stickers, etc. and sells them for $20.00. You get a load of supplies worth WAY more than $20.00! Then I use those to store paper I already have! I know a lot of people decorate the boxes for art projects as well as storage. Thanks for sharing the idea about pizza boxes!

Pizza box idea is great! I just discovered another site that you might find interesting. It’s http://www.hobartforthehome.com. They have organizational furniture that you can lay your art down flat in and an area to put your kids toys in. Not bad idea if you want your storage unit to be a home decoration as well.
