I keep a basket on the passenger seat of my car for all the stuff that needs to go somewhere else. This way there’s no excuse- it’s in the car already!

For my “otta here” stuff, I take it right to the car so it is ready to go when I am out and about. No need for a shelf or remembering to look on it. I live in the country, not close to any town, so it is a major trip for everything. So I make multi stops when I go out. Thanks for all the great tips. I especially need to tackle the recipe books and loose recipes soon.

I’ve got a shelf like that too! But I call it the OPP shelf (other people’s property).

I use it for anything that needs to be delivered…. Gifts for people at church, library books, dishes to be returned, anything i’ve borrowed…

Good idea! For now, I just pile it next to our aquarium. It keeps whatever-I-need-to-remove-from-my-house fresh in my mind; however, it looks terrible and it annoys both me and my husband.
