in Menu Plan Monday

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. If you can believe it our snow still hasn’t let up! In fact it is really coming down out there so I’m posting this a little earlier than normal just in case something goes haywire with the internet. It has been pretty slow today.

It was so wonderful to see so many participants sharing their menus last week. Awesome! I even got a few new recipes printed out to try one of these days. I really love that. A few people asked if it was okay to use the banner and yes by all means if you would like to participate feel free to use the banner and jump right in…we’d love to have you!

Don’t forget if you are looking for some slow cooker recipes to try Sandra over at Diary of a SAHM. Every Thursday she hosts Slow Cooking Thursday with many ladies contributing recipes. Also if you have any great tried and true slow cooking recipes you’d like to share with us please join in over at Sandra’s on Thursdays.

Again this week two of my recipes are coming from the Jan/Feb 07 Simple and Delicious magazine put out by Taste of Home. I’m unable to link up to them because they are available on the website for subscribers only unfortunately. You can still buy the magazine on newstands though if you are interested.

Here is my menu for the week:

Monday: Slow Cooker Spaghetti Pork Chops – didn’t end up having last week
Tuesday: Homemade Lasagna (at Hubbie’s request) served with spinach salad and french bread
Wednesday: Coq Au Vin (S&D Jan/Feb 07 Pg 13)
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Slow Cooker Melt In Your Mouth Pot Roast (S&D Jan/Feb 07 Pg 33)

PLEASE SHARE WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU THIS WEEK?

I am afraid to leave a comment because the cyber airwaves might clone it a gazillion times and leave them all in your comment section.

Your menu sounds yummy. I will have to look up the Pork Chops recipe.

Stay warm with all your snow. I hope you don’t lose power.

We call Lasagna “Manna II” because when we were staying at the Ronald McDonald House lasagna was always available! lol!! It seemed like there was a new “batch” every day…hence the name “Manna II”. We haven’t Lasagna in a while…I need to add that to next week’s menu so we can remember and laugh!

Hi there – the spaghetti pork chops were *awesome* last week! A friend of mine tried them, and she like them, too, so you can definitely look forward to that meal! :-)

And thanks for the heads-up about Slow Cooker Thursday, that will be great!

This is my first time posting a comment even though I posted a menu to my site last week. I love this! I am finally able to stick with my menus. I had so many leftovers from last week that Mondays are now Leftover days (gotta make room in the fridge!).

Wow, Laura. The participation in this just keeps going up! Honestly, if two thirds of my weekly entries weren’t “leftovers” I’d do this. I cook two or three times a week, enough for an army. I actually serve leftovers more often than I cook! Uh oh. I probably shouldn’t admit that. :-)

Thanks for doing this. It has been awhile since I participated. We have been iced in for a week and the kids finally went back to school today. So I am back with my Menu!!

Although a bit late this week I’m participating in Meny Plan Monday för the first time. I doing “the Compact” this year, only buying nesseceties and menuplanning has proven very useful so far. My blog is in Swedish but the menu plan Monday posts will be in Swedish and English.
