HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL MY CANADIAN FRIENDS!!!
We had our big turkey dinner last night so as you can imagine we will be eating leftovers for a couple of days. I’m not a big fan of straight leftovers so I went online and found a couple of recipes I’m going to try that require turkey leftovers. Hope they turn out!
Last week I made the Slow Cooked Chowder. It was pretty good…I would make it again although my hubbie and I thought it did need a little ham or meat of some kind just to make it a little more hearty. I also tried to make the Buttermilk Rolls from the new Light and Tasty magazine (Oct/Nov 06 Pg 33) and they were a huge FLOP for me. So much so that I ended up throwing the batter out because it wouldn’t mix, just went crumbly on me and I had no idea how to fix it. If anyone out there has tried this recipe please please let me know if it worked for you!!
Okay enough talk and on to my menu for this week:)
Monday: Turkey Tetrazzini
Tuesday: Turkey Divan Bake (another one from Kraft Canada…such a great website!!)
Wednesday: Daughter’s choice – chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese sandwiches…something simple after all that turkey!
Thursday: Spaghetti
Friday: Homemade chicken pizza with pesto sauce, sundried tomatoes and feta cheese…so yummy.
Saturday: Fajitas (again we didn’t get to these last week…boo hoo)
WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU THIS WEEK?

I don’t like when recipes flop, I’m sorry to hear this happened to you. I guess it happens to all of us sometimes. Your menu looks yummy though.

That turkey divan looks good, thanks for sharing it! I have used leftover turkey to make that poppyseed chicken recipe before, and have frozen cut up, cooked turkey to use again in a few weeks after Thanksgiving. Have a good week.

Back in my turkeky-eating days Turkey Tetrazzini used to be my favorite post-Thanksgiving meal that my mom would make!
My menu is up.

Sounds good – I always love leftover turkey. There’s a turkey chowder that I’ve made before and really liked 🙂
Mine is up, will try to stop by and see some other menus later. It always makes me hungry!!!
Have a great day, and a wonderful week Laura!

I’ve never made pesto sauce, but it sure sounds good! Our plan was more fun this week since we have access to more ingredinets. 😀

Your menu sounds delicious. Sorry about the Buttermilk Rolls, I haven’t tried those yet, will give it a shot and see if it Flops for me too…
Thanks for hosting this every monday, I just love it 🙂

Hi Ladies, I had to laugh at Shari’s “I hate cooking” Monday! I hate cooking too and planning my menus is the only way I can get through it with my sanity still in tact…lol. For my pizza on Friday night I just use the premade pesto from the deli..so super easy but delicious. The worst part is cutting up the sundried tomatoes from the jar…anyone know how to make that easier? Sandra please let me know how the rolls turn out for you..I don’t understand what I did wrong. I really enjoyed looking at all your menus. I was so busy last week that I wasn’t able to see them all but I did today..yeah! Have a great day everyone. Laura

Oh, you’re too good! Being as I’m moaning from too much turkey and treats yesterday, I have not got anywhere near making a menu for this week! I’ll probably use a lot of last week’s seeing as how most of that got put aside due to the fact I was too lazy, I mean, tired to grocery shop and so flew by the seat of my pants all week!
Christine says
I am sorry, I thought my original post went through. Now, it is all in order! Thank you for hosting this fun, weekly event! Blessings!
Annie says
Laura I just use sundried tomato pesto and spread it…it tastes really good and no chopping!
Miss you!!
org junkie says
Oh Annie you are just too smart!!! I’m going to try that.
Miss you too.
Sue says
Just added mine! Hard to plan this week…nothing sounded good. 🙁

I keep thinking I’m going to join you one of these mondays…
Thanks for the comment on my blog! I hope you do join the laugh out loud mondays. So far, the past two weeks, the only people who linked up didn’t say anything about laughter. Last week the lady was depressed because of the school shootings. Yikes, not really the point, you know? 🙂
Rona's Home Page says
Thank you for the inspiration! I decided to start having a menu plan. I needed to get a handle on our grocery bill.

Laura, Thanks for letting me join the Monday Menus! As a Christian single mom I’m sure this will help us eat better and save money too!
