Saturday Solutions – Kitchen Utensils

Happy Saturday everyone! Someone asked me this week how I keep my cooking utensils organized. Well I used to keep my utensils shoved in one of my three kitchen drawers but I soon got tired of having to empty the entire drawer just to access something at the very back. I needed a new solution and I found it when I discovered the Pampered Chef Turn-about. This is a fantastic product! It sits on my countertop but believe me it doesn’t take up much space at all. Most people have at least one wasted corner on their counter and this would fit in there nicely. The amount of stuff it holds is unbelieveable! Now you know I’m not normally a fan of visual clutter but since I keep the utensils in my Turn-about that I use on a daily basis it saves me huge time not fighting to find what I need in the drawer PLUS I now have extra drawer space. The best part is that this little Turn-about, as the name implies, turns all the way around for easy access. How cool is that!!! I love it, I love it, I love it. I’ve included two pictures. Mine and one from the website that isn’t as full so you can get a better view.

A product like this is also great for organizing kids crayons, pencil crayons or even craft supplies.

Have a great day! I’m off to get ready for my son’s 7th birthday party…wish me luck!

PS: No I’m not a Pampered Chef consultant, just a happy customer!

I have one too, a gift from a friend several years ago. I like it ok, but I’d really like to have a big stoneware pitcher or crock! LOL Just my country self coming out!

I have a stoneware crock that holds a couple of the flippers and a couple of the bigger things. Those are great ideas, but I don’t like the look of all those utensils sitting in plain sight!LOL! I’m strange that way…everything has to coordinate and not be too visually overwhelming!
I would like to get one for the boys desk…perfect idea! Thanks for sharing!

BTW, I hope your son had a wonderful birthday…Jonas’ is in November. Did you do a themed party? What are your tips for organizing birthday parties, games, etc? I always seem frazzled at the end of a birthday party!

Hey Jenny, unfortunately birthdays leave me feeling frazzled as well. I don’t have much advice on organizing kid parties except don’t do it…lol.

I have two. One in the kitchen filled with utensils, and another in the playroom filled with markers and scissors and pens.

I did used to be a consultant. :) Those things are awesome though.

I forgot to tell you I left a note for your Bookworm mentioning some of my favorites when I was her age-although she’s probably already read them!
