Works for me Wednesday - Kid’s vitamins

Having trouble remembering if your child took his/her vitamin each day? Fed up with having the vitamin bottles cluttering your counter? I sound like an infomercial..lol. I put each of my kids vitamins for the week in their own “weekly” medicine containers normally used by adults. Since my kids are older I can leave the containers out on each child’s placement on the dining room table (younger kids will obviously need some supervision). The kids remember to take their own vitamins and I can feel good about not having to remember one more thing! I love pictures so here is a pic of the one we use:

Pretty simple but since my son has many food allergies it is important that he not miss a day of taking his vitamin and calcium tablet. Works for me!

    What a great idea!

So, what vitamins would you recommend for a 20 month old?

I’ve posted a WFMW tip as well, involving an alternate use for a pot rack. Stop by and take a peek. :)

It really helps when kids can help themselves instead of waiting for Mom, doesn’t it? Great tip and thanks for sharing!

We use a large one that has four openings per day and we include the whole family’s vitamins all together, each with his or her own window. It works really well.

Because of numerous food allergies, all three of my kids, plus myself take several enzymes before every meal. We have found that a monthly pill organizer works well for one and a half days of enzymes for each of us.

This really is a good idea, my son takes daily medicine also. And sometimes I wonder if he has taken it. Great suggestion.

My husband is a body builder of sorts & therefore takes tons of supplements/vitamins daily. This would be fantastic for him since he’s always saying, “Honey, did I take my XXX, yet?” (Like I keep track or something…) Thanks for the tip!

Great idea! I’m always asking my son if he took his vitamin that day and the answer is usually “um…..” :)

Excellent idea. Anything that relieves stress in a Mom’s life is an excellent idea.

I need one of these. My friend bought one that has a magnet on the back so she can hand it on her fridge.
