Walk about……

In our house we have a saying. Every so often I yell “walk-about” and the kids know that this means time to take a walk-about and pick up items around the house that are “out of place”. It could be a stray sock, books, toys, hair elastics, anything. The items get collected and put back into their proper home. Its quick and painless and only takes a couple of minutes but the results are wonderful. Saves me from having to constantly pick up after the kids and from always nagging at them too! Is it time for your family to take a walk-about?

    In our house it’s a clutter drill. If we need to straighten up couch cushions and the like before dad gets home, it’s a daddy drill. Works great.
